In the fall of 1988, Walter and Helen Westerhof started Westerhof Media from their home on Spruce Street in Collingwood, ON. By the early 1990’s, Westerhof Media had grown to the point that extra space and staff were needed. The company moved to larger premises and their son-in-law John Kuikman joined the business. The company continued to grow and John became part owner in the operation. In 1993, the company once again needed more space and moved to the current location in Minesing. During the late 1990's, Westerhof Media saw many changes including the total transfer of the company to John with Walter taking a less active role. In the early 2000s, the company expanded to include a new french division, while continuing to focus on Canadian content. Currently, Westerhof Media is looking forward to many more years of serving the educational community.
Westerhof Media specializes in offering the most current titles available from a wide selection of Canadian and international publishers. Our collection is always centred around the Ontario curriculum with fiction and non-fiction materials from JK to Grade 12. Our collection is updated regularly and we are always willing to source specific titles upon request.
